The festival week starts with a joyful music event in the waterfront park. The opening morning will be headlined by the Emma award-winning children’s music band Megasakki, who will offer children and families the best in rhythm music: soul, funk, RnB and hip hop. At the opening you will also meet the Leaf Man, this year´s godmother Minna Kivelä and other colorful people of the festival week. Unicef’s Varkaus volunteer group will hold a buffet and play with children.
