Summer Street Evening brings the joy of reunion as the whole town comes together for a street-wide summer evening on Shopping Street. Enjoy great music and delicious food, do some shopping and meet friends. Kauppakatu will be transformed to a pedestrian street for the duration of the event and vendors with stalls will be spread out around the event area. The food street can be found on the corner of K-Market Herttu. There is a selection of food vendors in addition to the restaurant vendors on the street. Perheentalo(Kauppakatu 32) is open from 17.00-19.00.
A children’s programme is available to the public in Halonen Square. The multi-talented, award-winning, gentle and easily ignited Orffit Orchestra will be performing on stage at 17.20 and 19.00. The magnificent and colourful Vekara Parade will delight visitors with a street-long march. The procession will start from the library courtyard at 18.00.
