Independence Park, next to the Town Hall
The mascot of Vekara-Varkaus, the Leaf Man, invites you to enjoy music and the magnificent park scenery in the shade of linden and birch trees. The headliner is Pomppulinnan Kreivi, who plays new and varied children’s music. These rhythms will get adults into the spirit! The Pomppulinnan Kreivi concert is provided by OP Pohjois-Savo. Ville Karttunen, a children’s musician and author of children’s music will also take to the stage. Sweet and savoury snacks will be available at the park’s buffets. Pelastakaa Lapset Varkaus will distribute colourful balloons. Under the trees you will find animals of the Society for the Protection of Animals and the turtles. At Tyyskä The cafeteria is open and you can use the toilets. Bring a blanket or other platform to sit on.
