Library exhibition space, 2nd floor
What does joy, sadness, fear or love look like? The exhibition space has been transformed into a labyrinth, along which you can find different emotional states. The children have used different methods to portray emotions. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and textile works. The works of art have been created by students from the Soisalo-art School and the Taito-School of Arts and Crafts, as well as the Mun juttu-club members and the Vekara-Varkaus godchild class. Young summer workers and artisan Eija Volanen have complemented the exhibition with fairytale sets and other sentimental elements. In addition to viewing, you can feel your emotions in the sensory boxes and program your own emotional state into a robot. In the exhibition’s workshop, you can draw emotional faces as part of a large collaborative artwork.
